We believe students' academic success may be closely linked to good nutrition and to living a healthy lifestyle. Campus opportunities exist for students to learn about nutrition and to participate in programs and activities that promote good health.

Housing and Dining Services
Many dining services professional management staff are registered (RD) and licensed (LD) dietitians. For nutrition questions related to dining in the dining centers you are encouraged to schedule a meeting with a dietitian in Derby, Kramer, or Van Zile. The dining services Nutrition Education Committee publishes nutrition information throughout the school year via table tents, posters, displays, and web media.

Lafene Health Center
Nutrition Services at Lafene offers individualized nutrition counseling with a registered and licensed dietitian. Common reasons students seek nutrition assistance include weight management, disordered eating, nutrition/diet evaluation, and sports nutrition. The Health Education and Promotion Department and Nutrition Services both provide group presentations regarding a variety of health topics, including body image and eating disorders.
